Treats that are so good for you, you can have them every day.. I promise!
Baking is my stress killer, detoxifier, whatever you want to call it.. it makes me happy! And eating the baked goodies… makes me even happier! When I’ve had a rough day at the hospital all I want is to go home to the comfort of my tiny 2×3 kitchen and bake up a storm. During my last two years at university I had started baking a lot.. a lot of stress=A LOT of baking! Which then led to sugar addictions, crash dieting, and a lot of guilt! The thing is, as a doctor I need to able to set a good example to my patients.. by being and looking healthy. No one wants to hear that they need to change their lifestyle from the doctor with a snickers and two peanut butter cups in her lab coat. I wouldn’t. So instead of giving up baking and eating (like that would ever happen) I decided to give up the bad stuff. And I’ve never been happier. There’s nothing more satisfying than eating something and not having to think twice before picking up another slice, not worrying about the sugar crash, the calories, the waistline, and best of all .. NO guilt! None! I was hooked! And that’s how Baking You Healthy was born. I hope you can enjoy the recipes as much as I do 🙂
